Anti aging skin treatments

Anti aging skin treatments are designed to smooth fine lines and wrinkles and combat the visible effects of the aging process through skin rejuvenation (all anti aging skin treatments have a rejuvenation ingredient).

The causes of aging skin can be broken down into two categories: internal and external. Internal factors include the skin’s inability to retain moisture, its reduced elastin production, less turnover in new skin cells and so on.

External factors include one’s lifestyle, as well as the impact the environment has on the individual, thus causes include smoking, excessive sun exposure, poor diet, exposure to cold, excessive stress, lack of exercise, lack of sleep etc.

Non-Chemical Anti Aging Treatments for Skin Rejuvenation – Facial Exercises

One of the first signs of aging is the formation of lines and wrinkles on the face. There is a wide variety of anti aging skin treatments available on the market, all promising to eliminate facial wrinkles, but chemical methods can sometimes have side effects.

A simple and effective way of reducing lines and wrinkles is doing facial exercises. These can make your face more bright, youthful and expressive, and the movements of facial exercises make stiff muscles become more flexible. As the muscles are loosened, the face feels more flexible and it can move more freely.

In addition, doing some light massage movements will also help your facial skin remain taut. Though you may not see the effects immediately, patience and perseverance you will eventually get to a satisfactory outcome.

The great thing about facial exercises is that they do not have a standard rule, so you can develop such exercises yourself, based on your specific needs and preferences. The movements are executed in an upright sitting position facing forward, and can be done at home, at the workplace or in any other place. There are many combinations of facial exercises, such as:

  • Motion Eyes

Start by blinking one eye and then holding it shut. Repeat five times, then do the same thing with the other eye. Put two fingers on each side of the temple and press gently, opening and closing your eyes. Close your eyes and lift your eyebrows as high as you can, wrinkling your forehead while keeping your eyes as wide as possible.

  • Cheek Motions

Mimic a sucking motion with the lips shut, so that the cheeks shrink inward. Hold and repeat. Next, bulge your cheeks like a balloon and blow out slowly for up to eight counts, then repeat. Without opening your mouth, make a smile as wide as possible and hold this position for eight count. Repeat about five times.

  • Lip Motion

With your lips pursed, shape your mouth like a kiss and move your lips towards the left cheek. Hold, release, repeat several times, then switch to the right cheek for the same movement.

  • Wrinkles on the Forehead

To reduce the wrinkles on your forehead, use both hands to pull the bottom of the forehead to the top and hold it to a count of ten. Move the skin of the forehead to the sides after each count, gently massaging the skin.

These are just some simple solutions for skin rejuvenation, free of any cost or side effects. If, however, you prefer chemical anti aging skin treatments, make sure you put a lot of though in choosing the anti aging skin products.

There are many skin care treatments available on the market nowadays and which you can also find in aging magazines, claiming revolutionary methods, the greatest rejuvenation ingredient, extraordinary benefits, basically providing the benefits of facial surgery without the actual surgery. Also, anti aging skin supplements are to be considered.

On the other hand, many such skin care products advertised as anti aging skin treatments will indeed provide moisture to your skin, but are not really aging treatments. Moreover, some may have uncomfortable side effects, so it is best to consult a dermatologist who can recommend the best anti aging skin treatments for your specific skin condition and complexion.
